Always and Forever Friends…

Friends. What do you think when you hear the word friends? Best of all? Accepts you for who you are? Always there for you? Helps you? Understands you? We all long for friends. Someone to talk to. Who will laugh with us. Cry with us. But people move a lot. Our lives are busy. We make it home at night lonely, tired, and with little energy to reach out to anyone, wishing someone would reach out to us. I know friends are all around you. But do you realize that there are only some that are always there for you? We’ll as for me; I’m really an expert when it comes to picking up friends.

I am really I shy type of person and I find a hard time talking to other people. Even at church, many of us stand at the edges, watching people talk and connect. I feel so alone, wishing I were even a part of a group. And so when I reached high school, I really find it hard to interact with other people. I always think about how to make friends and how do I begin, how to reach out, what should I say, will they like me. Sometimes, I became paranoid by these questions. I think it is because I got traumatize about the betrayal of my worst friend and best enemy ever. But because of “Health and Home: the 2002 book”, I learned to reach out with other people and where I got the idea to write this in my blog.

Based on my personal experience: I have this friend who was my best friend since childhood. We tell each other’s secrets and our friendship became stronger. However, I became more serious in my studies and we lost our communication. When I came back, what I saw really shocked me: I saw her with other “flirts” flirting with the boys. But because I was her friend, I accepted her. However, I didn’t know that when I’m with her, she’s nice. When I turn back, she would say mean things about me. Since then, I never spoke to her again.

You see, based on the experiences of other people, they hardly trust anybody and they pick whom to befriend with. As for me, I’m really happy to find friends in my school and in our neighborhood. They really are always there for me, and I really appreciate it. They can always be trusted. If you keep your secrets with them, you will be really sure that your secrets are in good hands.

Many of us have walls that take a while to break down. Often, it’s because you’ve been hurt by a friend before. It is harder to trust when previous friends have wounded you. Persevering love has a way of crumbling those walls and revealing good friendships. Be willing to be the first to reach out. Make a conscious decision not to wait for others to reach out to you. Determine to take the first move. Most importantly, pray to God. God desires for you to have friends. He planted that longing in your heart. And he has a special friend waiting for you to find.

Unexplained Phenomena:

Have you ever wondered if ghosts or supernatural beings exist? Do their existence make you have second thoughts? Some people acquire third eyes that made you see things which do not exists. Like ghosts, for example. I do believe in ghost, I know it sounds crazy or something but I actually believed on them. My classmates had experienced similar things like this.
I sometimes wonder whether these things are true. I don’t know but it just makes people think twice if such things really exist on this world. Science can’t even explain these events happening in our world today. But here are some unexplained phenomena, which I read last January 30, in the news article in Sunstar.
1)The Taos Hum. Some residents and visitors in Taos City, New Mexico, have for years been puzzled by a mysterious and faint low-frequency hum in the desert air.
2)Big foot and Loch Ness monster. In the absence of hard evidence, support comes down to eyewitness sightings. Since it is logically impossible to prove a universal negative, science will never be able to prove that these creatures exists.
3)Intuition. Intuition is difficult to prove or study, and psychology may only be part of the answer.
4)Mysterious disappearances. When the evidence is lacking and leads are lost, even police and forensic science can’t always solve the crime.
5)Ghosts. Ghosts are spirits of a dead person that visits the living. In most reports and Ghost investigators hope to one day prove that the dead can contact the living, providing a final answer to the mystery.
6)Déjà vu. Human psychology can offer more naturalistic explanations, but ultimately, the cause and nature of déjà vu itself remain a mystery.
7)UFOs. While careful investigation has revealed known causes for most unidentifiable flying objects (UFOs), some sightings will remain unexplained.
8) Near-death experiences. People who had near death have reported experiences such as going into a tunnel of light that may suggest Life Beyond. But no one has returned with proof or verifiable data from “beyond the grave.”
9)Psychic powers and ESP. Researchers have tested people who claim to have psychic powers and extra-sensory perception (ESP), though the results under controlled scientific settings have been negative or ambiguous. It has been argued that these powers cannot be tested, or somehow diminish in the face of skeptics or scientists. If so, science will never be able to prove or disprove the phenomena.
10)Mind-body connection. Medical science is only beginning to understand the ways in which the mind influences the body. The placebo effect, for example, shows that people can, at times, cause a relief in medical symptoms.

Of all, the most unexplainable to me is the Déjà vu. I experienced déjà vu a million times. But when I was still a little kid, I just thought it was a coincidence. I can’t tell if these are true but I know someday, we will find the answers for these unexplained phenomena. If you wan to know more about this, just chill in to www.livescience.com

Reflections on teachers and teaching

When I was a little kid, I used to daydream about my ambition in life. I picture out myself teaching my students about math. Teaching was my favorite profession way, way back in the past. But I guess it needs a lot of hard work just to teach your students about the lesson.

In our school, during the last week of January or first week of February, our school had a “Know Your School Day” or basically known as the KYSD. KYSD is the week wherein you experienced to be one of the faculty members or the staffs of the school. You were given a chance to indulge your most wanted position. You can be a teacher, a clerk, a guidance councilor or the greatest position that every student ever dreamed of, being the principal. But of course, being the principal could apply more pressure. Some students didn’t try at least one position because they say it could be tiring and could be stressful.

Teaching can be tiring and I admire all the teachers for teaching their students patiently. Teaching really needs patience, understanding, and perseverance to teach your students. I know that teaching needs a lot of hard work but I didn’t expect it to be really stressful. You should plan what you should do so that your students would have fun while they learn about the lesson you are teaching. You should be creative enough to teach those lessons, which adds to the tension and pressure you are experiencing. Teaching is also hard because even if you receive big amount of money as your salary, if your students can’t understand the lesson, all your hard work will be put to waste.

I also learned about the feeling where in your students don’t want to listen to you. It really, really makes me feel bad. But I know it was not my fault that they won’t listen to me. In my English class, some of my classmates have a lot of difficulties in understanding the lesson. I don’t know if I should blame myself that they have low grades in the quizzes. But somehow, a lot of them got high scores, which made me happy because I feel that all my hard work I put on it got rewarded.

At first, I really can’t imagine myself standing in front of my classmates to teach them the subject where I substitute my teacher in. But you know what, even if it was very stressful, it was so much fun. I can tell because I applied for a teaching position. I really have fun because I didn’t expect my classmates to treat me as a teacher and not a student like them. In my Alma matter, they treat their student teachers as students. I didn’t say that they don’t respect them but my point is, they shouldn’t treat them as students who were just hanging around in the room but as the person in authority. When you teach, always put it in your hearts that there is nothing bad in teaching. In fact, we can’t have doctors, nurses, engineers, etc. if there are no teachers around.

LOVE: inspiration or destroyer?

Have you ever experienced something towards someone that can’t be explain by scientific reasons? Many people experienced this and YES, they really love the feeling: It is like laying on a bed of roses that floats in the air! But some people consider this feeling as their “worst nightmare” ever! I think it is because of the heartaches that caused them so much pain.

What if somebody says he or she likes you? And to think you really have special feelings for this person…what would you do? Well, if you were asking for my opinion, it would be fair to him if you also tell him how you feel! In that way, that person would not lose hope on you and he or she would feel that he or she is important to you. You see, life is not that dreadful and rude to hurt you when you feel so much pain inside.

People who are lucky may feel that love is like a jungle. It is full of fun and adventure. If you have already experienced it, I don’t know but you could feel that you are the happiest person in the world or in the whole galaxy. I already experienced that and I admit, I almost daydream everyday and think of that person. I can’t eat well, sleep and concentrate. Sometimes, I began to think, is love really healthy? I thought it makes you become a better person. I thought it inspires you to do good things. But what happened to the world of love? It is full of cruelty, ambition, selfishness and heartaches.

I know why people experienced heartaches. In fact, my classmates are the best examples of it. Let’s take my best friend’s example: she likes this guy but the guy can’t even notice her and this guy loves another girl. So, my best friend gave him a love letter explaining how much she loves him and that she feels pain whenever she saw him with another girl by his side instead of her. But then, she feels that the guy got discourage and began to avoid her. Are guys really like that? Sometimes, I thought that they are very harsh for treating a girl like that. Is that the girl’s fault to fall in love with a stupid guy who can’t love them back? Love can sometimes be harsh but I know that’s the best thing ever happened to you, don’t you?

But can somebody blame you to fall for someone whom you think you can never be yours. Is LOVE really that dreadful to be hated by somebody who got hurt because of this “desirable but sad feeling?” You can never be sure when the right time comes for you to experienced this but once you did, you can never tell if you like what you feel or not. So keep on going on, if you’ve been hurt several times, don’t easily give up, maybe destiny is still looking for that right guy or girl to come along!

Me, myself and I

Do you remember in kindergarten wherein you don’t know the children around you? You don’t have any friends then suddenly, 10 minutes later, you found yourself playing with them. It is just like you were friends for quite a long time.

People say, “Oh, Kristie? She’s smart and a quiet type of person. She dances gracefully and a really good friend.” Sometimes, people are sometimes very judgmental when it comes in judging other people. They say I’m so judgmental and backbite who I really don’t like. But, do you think I believe them? No, I don’t! Besides, who are they to judge me like that? Do they really know me?

We’ll before anything else; I would like you to really know me better. I am not a quiet type of person. I am really noisy but I only make noise in the right time for chitchats with friends. I love to dance and I read a lot. Those are the only things that can make me calm when I am down and when I easily get discourage because of the challenges, which made me become a better person. I also love to listen to music, although I don’t have any talent in singing. I love to watch TV all the time. I can’t live without watching TV for at least one day.

Some things that people didn’t know about me are:
I am really a great fan of animes! Maybe girls don’t watch them because they are violent (although some are not), I really do LOVE them.
I love to cook. I love to cook fried rice (of course with my own recipe) with matching fried egg. I usually put art in cooking like putting something that would make my CREATION really look attractive.
I love suspense and horror movies. Although it doesn’t make me sleep at night, I love it. I don’t know why but I usually find adventure in it. I also wanted to try something new in the world of thrill and suspense.
I like to try to play tennis. I’m looking forward this summer to play this never-been-tried sport of mine, TENNIS. I really find it exciting and full of fun.
Princess Hours addict. I think everybody in Benton knows that I’m one. This is super, doper true. I don’t know why I like it but I think because of the story and because of the cute actors who act as Gian and Troy.
I love to write stories like novels, short stories, etc. Yeah, I don’t actually remember when I started to write something creatively. I think it is because I read lots of books and I watched movies, which influenced me to write.
I love to talk with friends. Super, doper, absolutely true. I spend my free time chatting with my friends. I like the company with my friends because I usually chat with them to stay away from pressure of schoolwork and quizzes.
And lastly, I treasure ‘anything’ that was given to me no matter how pricey or cheap it maybe. As long as they really give anything for it and it comes from their hearts.
Basically I don’t give this kind of information to other people because I thought they are nonsense. But now, it does make sense after all!
